The flow cytometry analyzers (LSR-II, Symphony A1, Symphony A5, Penteon & Aurora) are available for analysis for trained investigators.
The Aria 594 is available for self-sorting for trained users.
Operator-assisted sorting (MoFlo Astrios and Aria 561) is available Monday-Friday.

The Department of Immunology’s Flow Cytometry Facility provides flow cytometric analysis and cell sorting services to HMS investigators and users from affiliated institutions as well as commercial/biotech labs.
The facility currently operates:
Analyzers
(1) LSR-II analyzer (3-laser, 13-fluorescent detectors) with a high throughput sampler for multiparameter flow analysis
(2) FACS-Symphony A1 (4 laser, 16 fluorescent detectors) with a high throughput sampler to accommodate various plates
(3) FACS-Symphony A5 (5 laser, 28 fluorescent detectors) with a high throughput sampler to accommodate various plates
(4) Agilent Penteon (5 laser, 30 fluorescent detectors) with a high throughput sampler to accommodate various plates and tube racks
(5) Cytek Aurora Spectral Analyzer (5 laser, 64 total detectors - 40 color capable) for high-resolution, high parameter analysis with high throughput sampler
Sorters
(1) FACSAria cell sorter for high-speed cell sorting, equipped with 4 lasers (13 fluorescent detectors) for sorting into tubes or plates, and 4-way sorting
(2) FACSAria cell sorter for high-speed cell sorting, equipped with 5 lasers (15 fluorescent detectors) for sorting into tubes or plates, and 4-way sorting
(3) MoFlo Astrios EQ cell sorter for high-speed cell sorting, equipped with 6 lasers (405, 488, 532, 561, 592, and 640nm) and 23 fluorescent detectors is housed in a biosafety cabinet and is capable of 6-way sorting
(4) Cytek Aurora Spectral Sorter (5 laser, 64 total detectors - 40 color capable) is housed in a biosafety cabinet and is capable of 6-way sorting
Facility staff advise and train investigators in the applications of flow cytometry, use of the instruments, and help with study design and choice of fluorochrome combinations. Sorting is primarily staff run with the possibility of “self-operation” (for highly trained and experienced users). The analyzers are operated directly by the investigators, after training and certification by facility staff.
